I am using the same theme in this blog but for my requirement i have modified the theme and as a part of contribution i want to share this theme with every one 
Many of my regular visitors and some of DD visitors liked this modification and emailed me to share the theme and here it goes. Please find the download link below.
What has been modified:
1) Single post page has been single column now.
2)Landing page post content has more width then before.
3)Search box yellow background was breaking in various browser and that has been fixed.
4) Landing page navigation to older post has been removed as it was not working. A link has been added for navigation. Modify it with your link. Navigation works on other pages.

Seems you haven’t got any problem to use the feature
post and the feature-image function with the tipz theme.
Smarter than me …Could you give me a hint about choosing
the featured post and the featured image ? I tired to create the
category and a custom field but it doesn’t work. I can’t get any
answer on the theme page, so i try to find help among users of
this theme …

I am posting Francois email here because i know many of us faced the same problem.
2 steps to get the image on the top post:
1) Create a custom field for your latest post. feature-image
2) The content of the field should be as shown in the image below.The class used is
class=”alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2040″

Remember. In the code that you have it will be defaulted to classictutorials, so you need to change that to your information and then save and update to view the changes and then test.

Hey its basically a temp solution for that theme. The link basically points to a category which has the max post and then it can go on. So in your case the URL you have provided above is not valid.
Use either of these:
http://membertipz.com/category/marketing/
http://membertipz.com/category/social-media/
http://membertipz.com/category/uncategorized/ (Pref)
I did some more searching to my first request on the < Navigate to Other Pages > and found the location to edit the link. It's in the index.php of the TipZTheme folder. Made the changes, but still can't get it to work, but at least it stays on my site.

Thanks. Any suggestions on how to fix the category issue, it would be appreciated? I have a category community.

How To and Tips for chamber members
This is a great update to the wonderful TipZTheme, and I have a few questions:
At the bottom of my site now I have the following link: < Navigate to Other Pages >
When I click on it, it goes to this site. How and where do I modify the link to my link page in the TipzTheme?

Am not sure what exactly yo are asking. For QUOTE use the wordpress editor and there is a quote option(''). Yellow box similar to the above post will show up.
anyone know how to add reply and qoute with this theme please share it

I am not sure why that was written. If i see the code this is witten.
$postmeta = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'feature-image', true)
so should work with the 2 steps i mentioned. Let me know if it works for you
Thanks for your kind help. I'm going to try this. Just a little thing though. How do you explain the "setting the category to Featured" indication in the presentation of the tipztheme on design desease page ? Anything to do with using an excerpt ?
"You can even slot in a nice picture and a post excerpt to accompany the headline by editing the feature-image custom field and setting the category to “Featured”.
