Now you can run almost any free android app on your pc using Bluestacks . If you have a dedicated graphics that will also be used properly if you are playing some high end games.

Its almost straight forward after you install. Basically the software run a virtual android simulator and makes you run the apps.

Features which i really liked and you should give a try:

1) Sync apps between your android mobile and PC: With your registered email address and by installing an app on your mobile you should be able to sync your android apps between devices. You get this option while installing.

2) Installing apps is just a click: Installing any app is very easy. Just click and done.

3) Multiple app stores are already available:

4) App store search works perfectly: Just search for the app and you have it.

5) Set screen size for apps: Ya if you want to play angry bird in big screen here you go. Just change the settings.Works for any app.

All required user agents for webkit mobile testing

I have been working on mobile projects for a yr now and worst part of the whole process is that you are never given all the devices to test it properly. If your webkit mobile site is device specific only way left will be to use user agents. There are thousands of mobiles and which useragents to use and which not to use is confusing so here goes my list of useragents which i feel should be enough for now.

As todays most mobile sites will be webkit compatable so my best bet is that you will be using safari for tetsing.

All you need to do is copy the file below to the given folder and restart safari.

Step 2) Place it in the following folder (Copy the above file to the following folder):

PC:C:Program Files (x86)SafariSafari.resources

MAC: Applications » Safari » Contents » Resources folder

Step 3) Restart Safari. (Done). Make sure you enable developer menu in safari from

Preferences >> Advanced >> Show developer menu on menu bar.

Once done you should be seeing something like this:

Wont work for IOS 5.1 + as apple has removed the support!

A minified alternative to settings app. I won’t say an alternative to SB Settings but without Jailbreak and for free this is the closest we can get.

This is a web app and have been made even to work when you dont have interet.

Summary:
BTI (Blogger template for iPhone ) is a blogger template using which we can create a blog which will be fully compatible with iPhone/iPod touch safari browser. Series 60 mobiles under Spyware attack

i was just going through the F-Secure(Leading mobile antivirus website) and found this news.
It says something like this:
An easily reproducible SMS exploit was disclosed and demonstrated today at the 25th Chaos Communication Congress (25C3). The exploit is effective against a wide range of Symbian S60 smartphones and will effectively prohibit victims from receiving SMS messages.

It also says:

According to Engel’s research, the exploit affects the messaging components of Nokia Series 60 phone versions 2.6, 2.8, 3.0, and 3.1. Our own tests determined that Sony Ericsson UiQ devices are vulnerable as well.Versions 2.6, 2.8, 3.0, and 3.1 are also better known as S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2; S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 3; S60 3rd Edition (initial release); and S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 respectively.

That’s a lot of numbers…

Now after this hype i did a bit of research about what exactly this spam will do and my conclusion is:

At a max it will fill up your message inbox!

Correct me if i am wrong. Isn’t all the new n-series has unlimited message space! So at a max we may need to delete the whole inbox selecting all the messages!

At last Flash In IPhone… Ya thats true!

Hi All,
There is this company called iMobileCinema who have came up with a whole new concept to open flash videos in iphone! This plugin is really cool! I have personally used it and i am really impressed!

They have tried to release through the App store but as usual apple did not let them to do so!
Currently available only for jailbroke iphones! (Another reason for why you need to jailbreak )

The app is FREE so hurry to download!

Given below are the steps of how to download:
Launch Cydea.
Then click on the Manage tab (on the bottom) -> Sources -> Edit (top right) -> Add (top left)
It will ask for URL enter the following: d.imobilecinema.com and then click on Add Source

It will update itself. Now go to the search Tab in the bottom and search for iMobileCinema and install.. Its of size 2.5MB (~approx)

I attaching some screen shots from my mobile just to give you some idea! The mobile is Iphone 3G with firmware 2.2!

Search for the video you want to see!

Click on the video and it will start to buffer:

Nokia n-gage is listining to every one.. Time to give feedback

Hello everyone,
Nokia has launched a new website http://ngage.uservoice.com/ which is specially made to listen about our suggestion on improving games. This is the right place to share your idea as it seems!
But i am eager to see do they really work out? Do Nokia really improve there n-Gage game?
I anyhow feel that the old n-Gage games were much more better which i used to play with my n-Gage QD. Both graphic wise and experience.

I want to know what others feel! I loved the game snake 3D in n-gage QD but this new Snake is a real shit! I don’t know its only with me or not but the color combination of the games are pathetic!
What do you guys say?

Opening Opera Mini in firefox | Ya the mobile opera mini

Ya what you read is true! I too was suprised when i found it out.
Thanks to Krazy Bluez from the digit forum who pointed it out to me.

So before installing the opera mini you can actually test drive it here or in the other sense just for FUN you can give a try.

Its too cool and a real geek thing!
Its actually the opera mini simulator which is made for developers and available to us.
Also best part of this simulator is that even it has those mobile related setting and the cool part is you will actually have two cursors when you use it.. 1. The mobile Opera mini cursor and 2. The computer cursor..

Let us know which site did you browsed and which site dint worked out?

Because its a simulator so it will be having some drawbacks! One which i found was that i was not able to properly type url in it.
So if you want to try a new url you just need type the following:

Just copy and paste it in the browser and it works.. Example:

Setup up Mobile browser in Firefox | download all your mobile softwares in PC

This is a crazy find and hope you all will like it.
With this hack we will be able to browse mobile sites in mobile format in PC(firefox)
See this. Thats http://n-series.com when i opened in firefox.

Want to start the hack.. here it goes.

Prerequisites:
Firefox 3 browser (link)
User agent switcher plugin for firefox (link)

Steps:

Once you have download firefox and the plugin install the both first.
Once the plugin has been installed go to Tools –> User Agent Switcher –> Options –> Options
Click on the UserAgent tab on left hand side and click on the Add button.
On the Description field give any description. Say (Mobile browser)
On the User Agent field give the following.

Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaN95/11.0.026; Profile MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413

Thats it.

6. Now under Tools –> User Agent Switcher you will get the new option. Just click on it.

Now browse with you high end mobile browser.

Re-Molding Opera mini browser Icon | Mobile browser

This tutorial is real fun and geeky..
What we will actually do here is we change the opera mini icon so that it looks nice when installed in our mobile. I shall use some free softwares also to make the icon and Winrar to edit the jar file.

Step 1: Choose your icon. It should be a .PNG image. A transparent background is preferable. If you don’t have nice png icons then try this website and download from here.. I usually download from here.. http://www.freeiconsweb.com/free_icons.html

Step 2: Once you get the icon you need to resize it. After resize the size should be 48 x 48 Pixel. Here is a free online tool to resize.. I like this tool very much and its very user friendly. Just upload your image and resize and then save. http://gui.picresize.com/picresize2/

Step 3: So now you have your resized image. Now rename it to i.png

Step 4: Download opera mini from here. http://www.operamini.com/download/pc/
Select the appropriate model and save the jar file in your computer.

Step 5: Right click and open with WinRar.

Step 6: Just select the new i.png image you created and pull and place it in winRar. It will ask you that you want to paste it or not. Select OK.

Thats it. Now send the jar to your mobile or install it from your pc to your mobile. Here is what you will get.
