Google said:

We’ve added some features to your iGoogle homepage that will make it easier for you to enjoy your favorite web content and to share it with friends. Now you can add social gadgets to post updates, play games with friends, and more. Take a tour.

These new gadgets are real cool thing :biggrin: and the best part is its so easy to integrate and use. For all iGoogle fan this is a boon.

WLP is a social network from Microsoft India to help people find people with similar interests. Something like Orkut,Facebook, Myspace, LinkedIn, Hi5 and Tagged. Also you can invite more people and friends from other service providers. Also it has something like match % which is something we already use in OKCUPID.COM

But the worst part is its so buggy and damn slow. To login with existing user id it took me so time. It even failed to login for couple of times. Also each page takes so much time to load.And personally i feel the UI could have been done better.

Gmail now supports 25MB of attachment

Send or save as draft. 25MB is your birth right with gmail. Ya but you can send this fatty size only to gmail accounts.

Google says:

With Gmail, you can send and receive messages up to 25 megabytes (MB) in size.
Please note that you may not be able to send larger attachments to contacts who use other email services with smaller attachment limits. If your attachment bounces, you should invite them to Gmail.

Google released API for virtual keyboard

Google has launched the Keyboard API and its so easy to use on websites.
This is what google has to say:

It is often difficult for Internet users to input text in many non-Latin script-based languages for a variety of reasons. The correct keyboard layout may not be installed on the computer they’re using – sometimes such a layout may not be well developed or widely available. This poses a challenging problem for web developers because there is no way they can ensure that their users have access to this very basic input technology. Our Transliteration API can help, but requires that the user know multiple languages.

Series 60 mobiles under Spyware attack

i was just going through the F-Secure(Leading mobile antivirus website) and found this news.
It says something like this:
An easily reproducible SMS exploit was disclosed and demonstrated today at the 25th Chaos Communication Congress (25C3). The exploit is effective against a wide range of Symbian S60 smartphones and will effectively prohibit victims from receiving SMS messages.

It also says:

According to Engel’s research, the exploit affects the messaging components of Nokia Series 60 phone versions 2.6, 2.8, 3.0, and 3.1. Our own tests determined that Sony Ericsson UiQ devices are vulnerable as well.Versions 2.6, 2.8, 3.0, and 3.1 are also better known as S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2; S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 3; S60 3rd Edition (initial release); and S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 respectively.

That’s a lot of numbers…

Now after this hype i did a bit of research about what exactly this spam will do and my conclusion is:

At a max it will fill up your message inbox!

Correct me if i am wrong. Isn’t all the new n-series has unlimited message space! So at a max we may need to delete the whole inbox selecting all the messages!

Anyways i was searching for some more info and got the following youtube video.
